Role Purpose: As a Production Scheduler, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating fabrication and machining jobs, ensuring timely delivery that meets customer requirements. Parmerit’s Production Scheduler’s will collaborate with cross-functional teams, and build strong relationships with customers through regular communication. This role requires a strong technical background, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Reports To: General Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and establish a detailed production schedule for fabrication and machining jobs, including coating (paint, black oxide, etc.).
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Monitor job progression and make necessary adjustments where needed.
  • Interpret documentation, specifications, and design drawings to define scope/contents of projects/jobs.
  • Maintain ERP systems to update and track production schedules and ensure timeliness of projects.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress, to be shared with customers and internal teams.
  • Monitor production needs and plan resource allocation, including personnel and materials, to optimize workflow and ensure efficient operation across fabrication and machining.
  • Communicate with internal teams including sales, quoting, purchasing, and production to ensure alignment with requirements and constraints.
  • Address customer questions and concerns regarding order specifications, production schedules, and delivery, as required
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting improvements to workflow, safety, and costs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in production planning and scheduling, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced in MS Office, Excel, ERP systems, and estimating software
  • Strong critical thinking and attention to detail; must be able to problem solve and think independently.
  • General knowledge of CNC machines, manual mills, and boring mills.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding technical documentation, industrial blueprints and plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer and team interactions.
  • Strong organizational skills, with an ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
