Buckland is looking for a Logistics Solution Specialist
What you’ll be doing
As a Logistics Solutions Specialist, you will connect financial accuracy with operational efficiency—managing billing precision, data integrity, shipment coordination, and cross-border compliance (Canada–U.S.). You’ll work closely with Distribution Accounts, collaborating with Warehouse, Distribution, and Global Freight teams to deliver impactful, seamless freight services.

You will be responsible for
- Manage billing accuracy & freight expense reporting — including invoice validation, reconciliation, reporting, and discrepancy resolution across freight types.
- Coordinate daily cross-border shipments (LTL, FTL, courier), including customs dispatch via ACI/ACE. (PARS/PAPS)
- Maintain centralized rate database ensuring data integrity, serving as gatekeeper for rate, billing, and invoicing data, prepare freight quotes for clients and oversee OS&D, credit memos & claims, coordinate resolutions and communicating with clients.
- Serve as primary client liaison for assigned accounts, ensuring high service levels and seeking opportunities for upsell and improvement.
- Track and report KPIs against SLAs; present insights internally and externally to support transparency and performance enhancement.
- Support new client onboarding — including invoicing setup, vendor payment processes, and reporting.
- Collaborate with warehouse, distribution & global teams to streamline physical flow and rate-related processes.
- Identify and drive process improvements and automation, leveraging tools like Power Query or Power Apps.
- Above average written and verbal communication skills.
- Showcase your skills with Microsoft utilizing programs such as Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
- Identify potential challenges/risks and solve problems efficiently or work with Leaders for a solution.
- Foster a fast paced culture leading by example in terms of accountability and continuous improvement within the team.
- Effectively prioritize and manage the team multiple and personal tasks to meet KPI's and deadlines.
- To provide the highest level of customer service by leading and mentoring, fostering a positive and productive work environment and resolving escalated issues as needed.
What we need from you
- Diploma or degree in Transportation/Logistics or related field; CIFFA or P.Log certification is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of cross-border dispatch experience; familiarity with ACI, ACE, PARS, and PAPS.
- Advanced Excel knowledge (PivotTables, macros, XLOOKUP).
- Experience with Power Query/Power Apps is an asset.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be legally eligible to work for the Company at all times.
- Valid Passport and ability and desire to occasionally travel if required to other offices locations in Canada/USA/MX.
