Buckland is looking for an Air & Ocean Specialist, Intermediate

What you’ll be doing

This position is responsible to coordinate the handling of documentation and advances for clearance, delivery of freight after clearance, and monitoring and control all entry/entry summary preparation to ensure shipments are entered in accordance with the Canada Customs Act.

You will be responsible for

  • Provide the highest level of customer service to clients, vendors, and service providers by nurturing client relationship, handling queries and resolve issues with Customs clearance (reject notices, eManifest errors, paper packages, RMD Corrections).
  • Clear and trace shipments, complete high volume of complex customs entries and review accuracy of entries by another team member,
  • Ability to accurately complete final Invoicing of customs entries to CBSA within the allotted timeframe.
  • Strong understanding of all FTA’s and when to apply them to shipments.
  • Request payment, original documents, and send delivery instructions as required.
  • Support fellow team members with tasks and report issues to Team Leader or Supervisor. 

 

What we need from you

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years of relevant work experience.
  • Intermediate MS Office experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Must be legally eligible to work for the Company at all times.
  • Valid Passport and ability and desire to occasionally travel if required to other offices locations in Canada/USA/MX.
