Industrial Maintenance Worker

We are currently looking for a team-oriented full-time Industrial Maintenance Worker to join our team.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Maintenance Lead Hand, the Industrial Maintenance Worker is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
The responsibilities for the Industrial Maintenance Worker will include:
- Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Install, align, disassemble, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
- Operate hoist and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks, and forklifts, to position machinery and parts during installation, set-up, and repair processes.
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions.
- Install and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform routine preventative maintenance work on machinery.
- Daily inspections and completion of the associated documentation.
- Maintain proper schedules and quality standards.
Education, Skills and Job Requirements:
- Certified Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) or currently working towards obtaining is an asset but not required.
- Minimum 4 years related experience.
- Interest in building and repairing a variety of mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of computerized machinery.
- Physical strength and stamina.
- Ability to get along well with co-workers.
- Must be available for day and afternoon shifts, as well as extended hours and overtime as necessary.
