Materials, Planning, Logistics and Dispatch (MPLD) Manager
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assure that budget and forecast stock targets defined on budget are reached;
- Optimize the supplier network in order to reach budget and forecast stock targets;
- Assure the processes and procedures of material suppliers are according to business unit needs;
- Assure the best production planning according to budget and forecast defined targets;
- Assure that time and quantity of finished and working in process (WIP) parts are available to be sent to customers, according to delivery customers' plans;
- Assure that business unit responsibility transportation is done by the suppliers selected by the business unit;
- Assure all dispatch and invoicing documents;
- Coordinate and supervise all warehouse(s) activities;
- Assure that all the conveyed waste is sent with all legal and Environment System required documentation;
- Collaborate with various departments to manage the efficient flow of all materials, ensuring that a correct supply is made to the production line;
- Collaborate with the production to schedule all deliveries and manage all delays and ensure compliance to all material requests;
- Answer and respond to customer inquiries on shipping issues, and implement best practices in shipping processes;
- Control inventory levels through conducting cycle counts, physical counts and support inventory process;
- Assure the correct packaging management (Internal and customer).
- Participates in the IATF16949 and ISO 14001 programs in accordance with company policy and procedure
- 4G Management Model Execution specific to KPIs in SoftExpert (MPLD Start Up Meeting, MPLD Resource meeting)
- Performs other duties and projects as required.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience with hands on materials and logistics knowledge
- Automotive manufacturing experience is an asset
- Bachelor degree or College education in logistics, industrial engineering, management or similar;
- Strong understanding of SAP
- Good knowledge of Lean Logistics (Pull systems, kanban Supply Systems);
- Knowledge in EDI tools and stocks management;
- Deep knowledge in logistics and dispatch.
- Experience in dealing with difficult operations situations with evidence of good capacity of adjustment and reaction to new conditions related to the logistic constrains (customer demands, production and suppliers variations);
- High level of leadership skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Well-lit climate controlled office area. Moderate exposure to noise (excess 85dBA) and dust when in the manufacturing environment.

- Responsible to adhere to all Health and Safety programs in accordance with the OHSA.
- Follow and ensure the Company’s procedures regarding safety rules and regulations are followed throughout the plant.
- Ensure that you work and operate equipment according to Sodecia’s safety rules and regulations.
- Ensure that your Department is clean, tidy, organized and a safe workplace at all times.
- Responsible to support all Environmental, Health and Safety programs in accordance with legislative, local and Sodecia policies.
- Follow and ensure the Company's procedures regarding environmental and safety rules and regulations are followed throughout the plant.
- Ensure that you work and operate equipment according to the safety rules and regulations.
- Participate in 5S activities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
