We are currently looking for a team-oriented full-time Die Assembler to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Die Assembler is responsible for assembling and trialing dies in the press using feed equipment. They are to develop and adjust as necessary in the press to ensure the best possible outcome. Die Assembler must work with the design group to make any changes to improve part specifications.

The responsibilities for the position will include:

  • Assemble dies, including lining up cutting punches to steel.
  • In-press development including spotting, panel matching, and adjustments to achieve part specifications.
  • Set up dies within the press along with coil and set up feeder for progressive and transfer dies.
  • Weld steel as necessary for servicing/repairing dies.
  • Work with quality team and design group to determine the best possible fix for any area out of specification on the part.
  • Participate in design reviews with the design and floor groups.
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement within the department to better the flow of work through the shop.
  • Travel to customer facilities to support home line runoff.

Education, Skills and Job Requirements:

  • Licensed tool and die maker or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of press trial experience.
  • Forklift and crane experience.
  • Good communication.
  • Proficiency with GD&T callouts/symbols.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites.
  • Machining/grinding experience considered an asset.
  • Must be able to work overtime.
