HVAC Mechanic
Location: London, Elgin, Middlesex and Oxford Counties
HVAC MECHANIC
Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor or designate, the HVAC Mechanicis responsible for assessing, installing, repairing and maintaining heating, ventilationand air conditioning systems, refrigeration equipment and control systems; ensuringwork is performed in a safe and effective manner and in accordance with allgovernment regulations, to protect against injury, facility damage and school daylosses.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to understand and respond to the needs of diverse schoolcommunities
Certified and maintain registration with Ontario College of TradesRefrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic (313A) Program (orProvincial/Territorial equivalent with Red Seal Endorsement (RSE))
Possess and maintain a valid Gas Fitter I or II License by T.S.S.A.
Possess and maintain a valid CFC Recovery license
Ozone Depleting Substance Handling certificate
Possess and maintain a valid Ontario Drivers’ License
Clean driver’s abstract
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Five and one half (5-1/2) years of recent, related work experience in acommercial, industrial or institutional setting is required.
RATE OF PAY: $40.69 per hour
HOURS: 0630-1500, 40 paid hours per week
