General Description:
The Custodian will be responsible for keeping building in clean and orderly condition, and will perform cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, cleaning and stocking restrooms, washing walls, glass and upholstered furniture, and removing garbage. Duties may include performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of the need for repairs.

Essential Duties:

The duties associated with this position include, but are not limited to:

· Sweeps, mops, washes, polishes floors, hallways, windows

· Clean boardrooms, restrooms, lunchroom as per schedule

· Vacuums all carpeted areas,

· Dump garbage and recycle bins regularly

· Clean, sanitize and stock restroom facilities

· Monitor weather conditions to keep floors and stairs free of water from outdoor shoes

· Assist with setting up rooms for meetings, parties, or various other activities and clean up afterwards.

· Maintains the required cleaning supplies and equipment inventory with Purchasing Dept

· Monitors need for equipment maintenance and repair and inform Maintenance as required.

· Train new employees as required

· Other duties as required

Prerequisite Skills and Qualifications:

· Cleaning experience, with attention to detail

· Perform duties in a professional, efficient, proactive and safe manner

· Physical ability to perform a full range of cleaning and janitorial duties

· Highly motivated and able to work independently.

· Must be able to schedule and prioritize daily work load.

· Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.

· Exhibit initiative, responsibility, and flexibility.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Must be able to work on the production floor

· Standing for long periods of time

· Must be able to handle and use manual and powered equipment

· Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs

· Use of cleaning supplies with caution. Adhere to safety warnings on any SDS sheets/labels

· Able to shift to one project from another quickly as business needs change

· Fast pace, high workload and tight deadlines to achieve

· Must be able to pass Controlled Goods Security Assessment (Including National Criminal Records Check)

· Overtime may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
