Welder, Aluminum

 

Tremcar Inc. is seeking an Aluminum GTAW (TIG) Welder at our facility located at 2060 Oxford Street East, London, Ontario. Only qualified individuals with relevant experience will be considered. Tremcar Inc.is a leading manufacturer of aluminum and stainless steel tanker trucks and trailers for several industry sectors including: petroleum tankers; chemical tankers; dry-bulk tankers; and food grade tankers. We perform service and repairs on all tankers manufactured by Tremcar.

Hours of Operation: Day Shift (Mon.-Thu. 7:00 am-4:30 pm, Fri. 7:00am-3:15 pm) with occasional overtime. Weekends and statutory holidays off.

Required Qualifications and Skills
Fitting and welding primarily using GTAW (TIG) and testing pipe assemblies for tanker vehicles. Welding on new tankers and welding repairs on a variety of tankers that come in for service work. This includes welding aluminum, stainless steel, including piping up to 6G. Job requires welding, lifting and fitting plates, pipes and assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs. and requires the physical dexterity to install welded assemblies on tankers.

  • Experience working on aluminum tankers is desirable.
  • Experience welding TIG on aluminum and stainless steel is mandatory.
  • Ability to get along well with co-workers.
  • A weld test will be part of the interview process.
  • Must possess own welders mask and welders basic hand tools. Air power tools provided.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $26.50 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
