This position is for the midnight shift. We are a unionized facility. The hourly rate is $27.90 + shift premium

JOB SUMMARY:

Ø Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.

Ø Strong PLC, robotics and control wiring background.

Ø Writing and debugging of PLC and Robotic programs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

Ø Read and interpret drawings and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.

Ø Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.

Ø Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.

Ø Maintain, repair, install and test switch gears, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactors.

Ø Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems and devices.

Ø Must be able to maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment.

Ø Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records in accordance standards established by the Company.

Ø Perform other duties as required from time to time by your Manager/Supervisor.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICIATIONS:

Ø Completion of Industrial electrician apprenticeship program.

Ø College or industry courses in industrial electrical equipment.

Ø Trade certification.

Ø Minimum of 3-5 years work experience in the trade.

Ø Previous experience with Kuka or Motoman robotswill be an asset

Ø Previous experience with Beckhoff or Allen Bradley PLC/HMI’s will be an asset

Ø Previous experience with cold stamping or hot stamping presses would be an asset

EQUIPMENT AND/OR PRODUCT:

Ø Various equipment including grinders, mills, lathes, MIG/TIG/ARC welders, robots, stamping.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Ø Manufacturing Environment

Ø Ability to react appropriately in stressful situations while working in “Just in Time” environment.

SAFETY AND HOUSEKEEPING:

Ø Responsible to adhere to all Health and Safety programs in accordance with the OHSA.

Ø Follow and ensure the Company’s procedures regarding safety rules and regulations are followed throughout the plant.

Ø Ensure that you work and operate equipment according to the safety rules and regulations.

Ø Ensure that your Department is clean, tidy, organized and a safe workplace at all times.

Responsible to adhere to all Environmental Program ISO 14001 elements and attend training for same. Act in accordance to all Environmental policies, procedures and regulations

Pay: $37.80 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
