Maintenance Planner
 

Sodecia is an industrial corporation operating worldwide as a full service supplier in the Body in White, Powertrain, Safety & Interiors and Tools & Equipment. Sodecia Automotive London has two facilities within London and focuses in the Body In White division. We are looking for a team members who can coordinate and facilitate all aspects of the Preventative Maintenance program for both locations and work in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for Preventative Maintenance programs and implementation. This will include scheduling the work internally or with outside vendors, analyzing the work done, and ordering parts, follow up, shut down schedules, plant layout etc.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Establish an effective Preventative and Predictive Maintenance Program.
  • Analyze all PM reports; define machine condition and Identify repair or maintenance work requirements.
  • Work with the Production department to develop a PM schedule, and schedule downtime to initiate repairs.
  • Assist in optimizing production schedules
  • Provide / order supplies, services, or replacement parts to facilitate PM repairs, and monitor inventory levels.
  • Follow up to ensure all work performed is done safely, properly, and in a timely manner.
  • Analyze all down time reports, and identify repeat offenders, provide action plan to reduce down time.
  • Assist with plant layouts and cell moves
  • Develop and maintain a work order and PM tracking system that can be linked to stores for inventory control.
  • Assist with cost saving and cost reduction ideas.
  • Assist with budget control
  • Maintain all QS documentation for the PM program, operator instruction, start up, and set-up instruction etc.
  • Maintain all computer records, and hard copy documentation.
  • Responsible for monthly progress reports to management.
  • Analyze production and repair reports to enter the maintenance KPI’s and monthly performance.
  • Perform other duties as required from time to time, assigned by your Manager/Supervisor

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Manufacturing Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent
  • Good understanding of production machines and tooling
  • Minimum 5 years experience in this or a related field.
  • Computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat
  • Management Plus/Maintenance Plus, AutoView are added assets
  • Must possess excellent planning, communication and organizational skills

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Manufacturing environment both office and on floor
  • Ability to react appropriately in stressful situations while working in a “just in time” environment.
  • Work in cooperation with all of the trades on repairs and maintenance needs.

SAFETY AND HOUSEKEEPING:

  • Responsible to adhere to all Health and Safety programs in accordance with the OHSA.
  • Follow and ensure the Company’s procedures regarding safety rules and regulations are followed throughout the plant.
  • Ensure that you work and operate equipment according to the safety rules and regulations.
  • Ensure that your Department is clean, tidy, organized and a safe workplace at all times.
  • Responsible to adhere to all Environmental Program ISO 14001 elements and attend training for same. Act in accordance to all Environmental policies, procedures and regulations.
