Test Technologist

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:

• Perform experimental and validation testing on new and existing products.
• Follow industry standards, Masco Canada test methods, and test instructions.
• Sustain in-house lab ISO 17025 accreditation by adhering to all applicable corporate policies and procedures and participating in regular training and proficiency testing with other labs.
• Develop, operate, and maintain automated test equipment and fixtures.
• Analyze test data and prepare test reports.
• Manage test projects within established timelines.
• Participate in project reviews and department meetings as required.
• Create documentation for designed equipment and test fixtures.
• Provide cost estimates for new equipment and repair parts.
• Train engineering department personnel if required.
• Perform and maintain equipment calibration.
• Participate and support the Compliance department with the annual audits

Qualification:

• College graduate (2-4 years Technologist Program) or
• College graduate (2-4 years Technician Program and over five years experience)
• Experience with lab instruments, hand tools, and electronic test equipment.
• Strong computer and software skills: experience with RS Logix, microcontrollers, and LabVIEW.
• Plumbing industry experience would be considered an asset.
• Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience gathering, analyzing, and accurately recording test data. Working knowledge of MS Word & MS Excel.
