Job Summary:

This is an on-site, full-time 12-month contract position. The successful candidate will be supporting the activities of the Human Resources team to maximize its effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Works directly with hiring managers to recruit for multiple departments.
  • Performs full-cycle recruitment, including posting job ads, prescreening candidates, scheduling interviews and practical tests, carrying out interviews, and following up with candidates.
  • Carries out on-boarding processes for new hires, including coordinating completion of background checks, generating all required documentation, and assisting in delivering orientations.
  • Creates employee paper and electronic files for new hires and maintains existing files.
  • Works collaboratively with all members of the HR team, provides the HR team with a wide variety of HR administrative and clerical support, and performs other tasks as needed.
  • Provide secretarial support by entering, formatting, and printing information.
  • Conducts all work in accordance with Health and Safety policies.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Support other functions as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of a college diploma or a university degree program related to HR, or Business preferred.
  • Effective administrative, organizational and time management skills.
  • Intermediate Word, Excel, and Power Point skills.
  • An eager-to-learn attitude, strong work ethic and effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong attention to detail, and ability to follow through on commitments and deadlines.
  • Good data analysis skills and ability to work with numbers are assets.
  • Ability to recognize, handle and protect highly sensitive and confidential information.
