Motif Labs is a licensed cannabis extraction facility located in SW Ontario. We operate as a business-to-business enterprise, offering toll processing and contract manufacturing services to Licensed Producers (LP’s) and 3rd party brands. Responsibilities 
  • Process development, layout design, and automation solutions pertaining to various packaging processes related to vape filling, pre-roll filling and infusion, and CPG products. 
  • Design, sourcing, and implementation of fixtures, jigs, go/no-go gauges, Poke Yokes, sensors, etc. that reduce cost, eliminate failure modes, and optimize production rates.  
  • Work with MS Dynamics 365 and have ownership of manufacturing BOMs, Routings, & Work Centres. 
  • Create Process Flow Diagrams, Line Layouts, Work Instructions for all manufacturing processes. 
  • Assess capability of existing processes, assess material flow throughout various production processes and optimize. 
  • Reduce Occurrence and improve Detection of failure modes by leveraging PFMEA methodology.  Analyze equipment malfunctions and failures accordingly based on root-cause analysis (i.e. 5-why) and develop and implement Corrective Actions. 
 Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science or equivalent, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering. 
  • 2-5 years of manufacturing experience (preferably in a lean, high volume production manufacturing environment or automation design facility) 
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, machinery, material handling, conveyance packaging and logistics. 
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principals, and basic Quality Tools. 
  • Structured and proactive with the need to quickly implement in an agile development environment. 
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. 
  • Resourceful, autonomous, disciplined self-starter, with the ability to work independently and as part of an extended team. 
  • Required to pass a criminal background check.
