Shipping / Packaging Clerk

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, Pack & Ship daily customer orders for courier pickups.
• (Ensuring packing of commodities are sufficient for transit)
• Prepare & Pack skids for LTL Freight shipments.
• Prepare domestic and international shipping documentation as required.
• (Examples: Bills of lading, Packing Slips, & Commercial invoices)
• Manage communications with freight forwarders and customs brokers on incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Manage daily workflow priorities to meet courier pickup windows.
• Arrange for overseas transportation (imports and exports) with freight forwarders.
• Resolve any shipping related delays, holds or exceptions for international exports.
• Investigate damage reports and file carrier claims.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 1-year related experience in shipping environment
• Basic computer / keyboarding skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other MS related software
• Excellent written/verbal communication
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Beneficial Qualifications Considered an Asset

• Knowledge of international HS/Tariff codes
• Experience with UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager + Others.
• Experience with Canadian Export Reporting System (CERS)
• Experience with NAFTA/USMCA and customs compliance.
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certified (Air/Ground)
• Navision/Business Central experience

SCHEDULE:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday (8am-4:30)
• Overtime (When Necessary)
