Job Description:
lead a team of production staff in the daily processes of mix production, packaging, freezing, and cleaning. This position will include the following duties:
- Establish methods to coordinate scheduling activities of the team of production staff.
- Be responsible for the set-up procedures and perform set up;
- Handling of ingredients;
- Managing supplies, including requisition supplies;
- Perform specific tasks as part of the cleaning and sanitation of the work area for the next day of production;
- Help implement SQF (Safe Quality Food) policy;
- Prepare production reports and track quality paper work;
- College Diploma or Degree an asset;
- Minimum (1-5) years of work experience in food production preferred;
- Strong leadership;
- High proficiency in English (both written and verbal)
- HACCP/BRC/SQF certification/experience an asset;
- Leadership experience;
- Good communication skills;
- Ability to work in a high paced team environment;
- Must be physically capable of lifting and manually moving products weighing up to 50lbs. in freezer and dry areas;
- Independently motivated;
- Attention to detail;
- This position requires willingness and commitment to the irregular work schedule:
- 8-12-hour shifts (as needed)
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime and weekend availability.
