Together, we develop and build products and services to improve people’s quality of life! Primary Purpose of Position
Reporting to the Quality Director, you will be responsible for review and update the quality system manual in accordance to the latest version of required quality norms, assure the quality system implementation in the Sub-Holding Level, leading the internal and external audit preparations, assure and support the business units in North America in the full implementation of the quality system and conduct audits within the business units to evaluate the quality system implementation.
**In this role you will oversee the Business Units in North America - 5 (USA, Canada and Mexico) and this will involve travel to all locations as required
Major Responsibilities of Position
Review and update the quality system manual in accordance to the latest version of required quality norms (ISO/TS 16949/ ISO 14001/ VDA 6, etc…);
- Responsible for full implementation of quality system manual at the sub-holding level;
- Responsible to assure internal and external audits to quality system at the sub-holding level;
- Assure and support the business units in North America in the full implementation of the quality system;
- Conduct audits within the business units to evaluate the quality system implementation and its compliance with the quality manual;
- Support the business units in external audits of the quality system;
- Identify and implement improvements on the Quality System, assuring its implementation in all Business units in North America;
- Responsible to request and perform quality system revising with top management
- Establish, plan and communicate quality’s short term and long term objectives in addition to quality system requirements
- Maintain effective lines of communication at all levels within the company, requesting feedback and involvement of other departments to achieve the organizations goals in terms of quality;
- Implement, monitor, and define action plans based on quality system reports, audit performances and performance indicators;
- Stay up-to-date with the latest quality norms evolutions and updates, industry trends, developments, and best practices;
- Other duties related to quality system as required, including special projects as they arise.
Educational and Experience Background
- University degree in Quality, Engineering, Management or similar
- ISO/TS 16949 Certified Auditor is mandatory
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the automotive industry in a quality related role
- Quality advanced degree or certificate is an asset
- ISO 14001/VDA 6 Certified Auditor is an asset
Personal Competencies
- High level of leadership and teamwork skills;
- Deep knowledge in Quality tools, such as 8D, SPC (Statistical process control), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis), FMEA (Failure Mode And Effects Analysis).
- Knowledge in customers specific requirements is a plus
