Scoreboards Assembler
We have an immediate need for skilled assemblers to join our team. Are you hard working, looking to join a growing team and a place to call home?
You will be responsible for following instructions and producing quality products. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of mechanical processes and tools. They will be able to follow instructions and work in a team environment. The goal is to ensure that products are made correctly and efficiently with minimal supervision.
The Scoreboards Assembler works as part of the Scoreboards Team and is responsible for the assembly of a variety of scoreboards, sub-assemblies, timing solutions and other products for OES Scoreboards. The Scoreboards Assembler is also responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings to assess the materials needed for production. The Scoreboards Assembler is required to use a variety of tools to assemble the final components into complete units.
This positions starts out as contract with the potential to become full-time to the right hard working candidates who can successfully meet and exceed the job requirements.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Final assemble a wide range of OES Scoreboards products according to relevant production procedures and work instructions
- perform the construction of scoreboards and various other Electrical Assemblies
- Follow job lists and download required files from production database
- Read and interpret production documentation (drawings, work instructions, blueprints)
- Complete basic wiring as per electrical specification
- Learn OES Scoreboards products, systems and processes and produce product in a safe accurate and timely manner.
- Adopt and practice Lean Manufacturing Concepts
- Safely operate hand tools for drilling, soldering, and crimping for hardware and component installation
- Work closely with the Team Lead(s) to complete assigned tasks
- Prepare fully assembled Products for packing
- Conduct final quality (QC) inspection and testing of all products according to related procedure(s)
- Notify lead(s) of material issues and shortages
- Contribute to the maintenance of a safe, clean and organized manufacturing floor
- Perform all duties in accordance with health and safety work guidelines
- Be flexible to work in other departments as needed
- Any other relevant duties as assigned by the direct Supervisor and/or Scoreboards Manufacturing Manager
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
- High School Diploma, a technical diploma in a related discipline is preferred
- Basic understanding of mechanical processes and tools (ie: drilling, cutting, screwing, etc..)
- Basic understanding of electrical components and wiring
- Background in production environment is preferred
- Basic knowledge of computer skills and Microsoft Office
- Ability to read production documentation and instructions
- Familiar with safety rules and procedures
- High attention to detail ad ability to follow instructions
- Good communication skills (written and oral)
- Must reside in the Southwestern Ontario
- Must have a valid work permit & SIN#
Job Type: Full-time
