Position Overview

We’re seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined Production Support Technologist to join our operations team. This role is ideal for a recent Engineering Technologist graduate who’s excited to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic production environment. You’ll support daily operations, help troubleshoot equipment, and contribute to improving our processes through clear and effective documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day production support across bottling, canning, and labeling lines.

  • Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on equipment such as the bottle filler, labeller, and canning line.

  • Assist with the creation and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production equipment and processes.

  • Work cross-functionally with production, quality, and maintenance teams to optimize operational efficiency.

  • Contribute to a safe and clean working environment by following safety procedures and supporting preventative maintenance.
  • Work alongside production team members as needed during production runs

 

Ideal Candidate
  • Recent graduate in Mechanical, Industrial, or Process Engineering Technology (or related discipline).

  • Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment.

  • Strong written communication skills for SOP creation and documentation.

  • Eager to learn and grow within a collaborative and values-driven team.
  • Prior experience in a food/beverage manufacturing setting is an asset, but not required.


Please note, this is a government funded position that has specific requirements:

  • 15 to 30 years of age at the start of the internship

  • A post-secondary graduate

  • Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada

  • Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial legislation and regulations

  • First-time participant in a youth employment and skills strategywork experience program targeted at postsecondary graduates.
