passionate people that will support our workforce and facilities. We are seeking a Bilingual TFWP
Administrator to join our Human Resources team. The successful candidate will work closely with the
HR Manager and HR team to administrate the Temporary Foreign Worker Program and support regular
HR operations.
Job Description/Responsibilities
• Administrate the Temporary Foreign Work Program (TFWP) by:
o Being primary contact with external agencies for administrating OPPLs TFWP (Service
Canada, ServiceOntario, FARMS, CanAG, Workinglink, Consulates, Embassies, etc)
o Create and submit Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIAs), work permit and Visa
applications and renewals, ensuring all program requirements are met, including
housing inspections and other audit requirements
o Coordinate, schedule and track TFW arrivals and departures
o Arrange for TFWs to obtain bank accounts, private insurance, health cards and social
insurance numbers upon arrival and ensure renewals align with work permit renewal
dates
o Schedule and coordinate appointments for TFW and provide translation services
o Track all TFW immigration documents to ensure they are up-to-date and align with
employment contract renewal and vacation dates
o Face scanner registration for TFW employees
o Maintain manual and computerized information filing systems – (Smartsheet employee
lists, enterprise, ets..) for TFW
o Maintain accurate Employee record keeping and file maintenance
• Assist in the organization of company events by ensuring that appropriate communication is
sent out to the team
• File papers and documents into appropriate employee files
• Provide Admin support to the Human Resources Team
• Other duties as assigned.
 
 
Minimum Requirements
• Post-secondary education in Business Administration or similar field
• Bilingual, ability to speak and write fluently in Spanish and English
• Available to work overtime and after hours as needed, often with short notice
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the agriculture industry and/or
knowledge of the TFW program, including managing the LMIA process
• Minimum 1-3 years of related HR or administrative experience within a role that required
extensive attention to detail/document tracking
• Strong interpersonal skills with a strong ability to build trusting relationships and work with
integrity
• Strong understanding of HR principles and best practices
• High degree of professional ethics and experience managing sensitive and confidential
information
• Professional verbal and written communication skills, both one-on-one and groups
• Fluency in Windows / MS Office is mandatory
• Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to develop conceptual alternatives
• A high degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
• Excellent time management skills
 
Physical Location/Working Conditions
• Greenhouse environment in a rural area, own transportation required
• Must be willing and able to travel locally (10% - 15% of the time as needed)
• Overtime may be required
 
Wage
• Based on experience, 40 - 50 hours per week
