YOUR DAILY ROLE
How can you make a greater impact?
You'll invest the majority of your time in three key areas:
- Responsible for supporting day to day activities related to production and operation by supervising, coaching, mentoring and scheduling the activities of employees promoting the values of the organization
- Actively engage with employees, partner with supervisors and managers to develop a solid rapport through regular plant tours promoting safety;
- Inspire and influence teams as it relates to engagement, development and make recommendations for continual improvement and capital project initiatives
Specifically, you will:
- Ensure the safety of our people and product quality are prioritized above all;
- Lead, coach, and mentor employees and leaders under your supervision;
- Review data, reports, and policies pertaining to production activities and provide recommendations for action plans;
- Responsible to develop department budget and manage spending throughout the year to meet fiscal requirements
You will report to the Plant Manager and join a team that is committed to continuous improvement of people development, safety, and quality procedures while striving to continually improve the effectiveness of the business.
You will bring the following to the business:
- Exceptional interpersonal/listening skills in order to interact with a diverse workforce; a communicator with proven leadership abilities;
- Demonstrated occupational health & safety and food safety competency;
- Innovation and resourcefulness used to maximize our resources with a continuous improvement mindset;
- Outgoing, visible, and approachable demeanor with the ability to inspire and influence others;
YOUR PROFILE
- Minimum 2 years of manager experience is required;
- A diploma or certificate in business administration project management or related experience
- A forward-thinking, solutions-oriented mindset to plan and create innovative campaigns
- A proactive, self-starter approach with the ability to take initiatives and run with projects independently, working with discretion and under pressure as needed
- A positive, energetic attitude and natural leadership qualities
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
