In this role, you will be responsible for developing specialized PLC and HMI applications in support of our Municipal and

Industrial Water Treatment technologies. You will be supported by a team of professionals to help develop innovative

new products as well as improve upon our existing base of market leading products. Growth opportunities within our

global business will allow the right candidate to develop into a technical leader by leveraging their specialized expertise,

providing mentorship to junior designers and other cross functional disciplines, and by supporting the larger sales,

production, and service organization. Veralto’s extensive set of established tools for improving processes and fostering

continuous improvement (VES) will allow the right candidate to thrive in an environment where they can help drive

improvements in the way we work.

This role will require local or international travel for up to 10%.

This position is part of the Research and Development Team, reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, located in London, Ontario, and will be hybrid, going 3 days a week to the London Office.

In this role, you will:

• Be involved in all stages of PLC and HMI development projects – scoping & requirements, conceptual design, detailed design, verification & validation, engineering documentation, improvement, and support of existing software solutions.
• Act as a technical resource in a cross-functional product development and sustainment environment.
• Recommend and implement continuous improvement ideas to establish team processes.
• Act as a collaborative team member, creating project plans & roadmaps using Agile methodology.
• Research, validate, and implement new technologies

Are you qualified? The essential requirements of the job include:

• Post-secondary education in Electrical / Software / Controls System Engineering
• Experience in PLC and HMI programming developing complex customer or product logic solutions utilizing Rockwell Automation and other vendor’s products, such as:
  • Siemens TIA Portal
  • Wago eCockpit or other similar Codesys-based programming environments
  • Beijer iX Developer or other HMI vendor platform environments

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Programming with additional PLC or HMI vendors
• Text-based programming languages such as Structured Text (ST) or SCL.
• Industrial network protocols and networking
• Jira or other Atlassian tools
