Reporting  to  the  Quality  Assurance  Manager  the  ideal  candidate  will  be  a   motivated individual who works  well with  others,  displays  strong  attention  to detail,  has excellent  organizational skills and can maintain  a  positive,  professional attitude  in a fast paced and changing work environment. The role of Quality Assurance Coordinator will work closely with all aspects of production in assisting to coordinate and drive the development and implementation of quality procedures and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the implementation, maintenance and ongoing development of a quality related procedures and programs;
  • Assists with development and ongoing maintenance of policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), work instructions, records and forms associated with the Quality Management System;
  • Developing and delivering training to staff regarding quality and regulatory systems;
  • Perform internal facility inspections and audits;
  • Work closely with various departments to initiate root cause investigations, trouble shoot and help problem solve regulatory or quality constraints;
  • Participates in the Deviation and CAPA program with investigations and RCA;
  • Assist QA department with record keeping, record review, verification and filing;
  • Structure and submit COAs to various jurisdictions as required;
  • Develop and update finished product specifications through while coordinating with  Marketing and Production requirements;
  • Maintain applicable spreadsheets, logbooks and data entry as required;
  • Remain current with all applicable regulations related to the manufacture through distribution of cannabis products;
  • Other duties as may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Post secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience (minimum 2 years);
  • Must have previous experience in a manufacturing environment with understanding of a Quality Management System;
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, inventory management systems;
  • Resourceful and creative problem-solving skills & sound judgement;
  • Quick-learner who shows initiative and has an eye for detail;
  • Well developed time-management skills.  Multi-tasks with efficiency and precision in a fast-paced and evolving environment with ability to stay calm under pressure;
  • Strong leadership,  investigative, problem-solving  and decision-making skills;
  • Ability to work individually as well as with a diverse/multi-faceted team;
  • Knowledge/Experience in a similarly regulated industry would be considered and asset;
  • Well developed communication skills including listening, summarizing, probing, clarifying;
  • Proven ability to deliver to specific deadlines, works with a sense  of urgency;
