Job Description
Quality Coordinator
As a member of our Quality Assurance team, you will support key Quality Management System processes by coordinating or performing activities to advance and drive them to completion. Initiate and review quality system documents/records. Maintain, monitor and report on departmental KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Inspection Processes and related activities
- Understand incoming, in-process and final inspection process
- Understand NCR process
- Drive investigations related to product and processes (non-conformance reports (NCRs), temporary deviations (TDs), and related corrective and preventative action (CARs/CAPAs)
- Lead documentation and resolution of non-conformance reports (NCRs) and temporary deviations (TDs)
Data Analysis
- Prepare and distribute reports on NCR, TDs and CARs as required.
- Prepare and distribute reports on key QMS processes KPIs, as required
- Use quality tools and practices for data analysis
Departmental Support
- Participate in internal audits as required by writing audit reports and issuing corrective actions
- Actively provide suggestions and participate in improvement activities
- Perform back up review and approval of DHRs
- Understand and support CAR process
Health and Safety
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation, including the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, etc.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 1-2 years project management or related experience
- 1-2 years experience in a quality, metrology, and/or manufacturing environment
- Experience working in a close team environment
- Knowledge of a quality system program, such as ISO13485, is an asset
- General knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Basic math and computer skills are assets:
- Intermediate experience in MS Word
- Intermediate experience in MS Excel
- Intermediate experience in MS Teams, MS Outlook or comparable email and scheduling software
- Ability to develop and implement measurement of processes
- Audit experience is an asset
- Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time with excellent follow up skills
- Good analytical skills, with general knowledge of statistical and quality tools
- Effective collaboration and good interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational skills, especially in completing accurate and legible reports
- Excellent attention to detail
