Quality Technician

Job Summary:
The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting quality improvement efforts, that will ensure the highest quality products are produced for Airia’s customers. The Technician will also be responsible for equipment calibration, quality audits, support of the ISO-9001 QMS and tracking overall quality performance (KPI).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with cross functional teams in generating solutions to problems impacting key production metrics.
- Plan, execute, and oversee inspection and testing of manufactured products to ensure conformance with internal and external requirements.
- Collate data and draft quality reports. i.e Scrap reporting, FTQ etc.
- Audit, maintain and enhance the ISO9001:2015 system.
- Verify compliance to the ISO9001 and support the resolution of identified non-conformances.
- Conduct problem solving analysis and participate in larger group problem solving efforts.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement team events.
- Audit product and processes to ensure best practices are being followed.
- Ensure equipment and/or measurement device calibration is maintained and managed.
- Conduct and/or interpret process capability studies.
- Manage sorting (internal or third party) activities. Use data to drive corrective actions.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
- College Diploma is preferred.
- Quality Technician certificate is preferred.
- Experience as a Quality Technician (minimum 3 years).
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings and information.
- Working knowledge of ISO9001:2015.
- Working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office software.
- Working knowledge of process capability.
- Understanding mathematical concepts.
- Ability to use measuring tools like calipers, scales, micrometers.
- High level of visual awareness.
- Experience drafting reports and collating data.
- Positive, proactive attitude.
- Enthusiasm to learn and be part of an evolving team.
- Ability to take initiative and problem solve.
