JOB DESCRIPTION - LICENSED MILLWRIGHT
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Licensed Millwright who is responsible for installing and dismantling machinery and equipment following company plans, blueprints, and other diagrams, as well as the troubleshooting and diagnosis of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems with associated equipment.
PAY: $43.14 per hour
SHIFT STRUCTURE
This role will operate as per the department's regular structure of a 2-3-2, 2-week days, 2-week nights, 12-hour shift rotation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Train with vendors, including software training (PLC, HMI, VFD, etc.).
- Assist in setting up the PM program and spare parts inventory system.
- Build a CMMS system and create work instructions, SOPs, and other documents.
- Promote Health and Safety, Food Safety, and GMP culture.
- Drive Lean practices to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Liaise with leadership to provide best practices and analyze uptime/downtime impact.
- Inspect incoming equipment, assemble machinery, and repair new equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and manuals.
- Move, assemble, troubleshoot, and repair various machinery.
- Fabricate, weld, and machine new parts as needed.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Monitor the maintenance program and provide recommendations.
- Lead apprentices and direct them as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1+ years of experience as a Licensed Millwright 433A.
- Experience with Allan Bradley PLCs, drives, RSview, and Fanuc robotics is an asset.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a willingness to learn Lean Manufacturing.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
