About Us:
Convertus Group is Canada’s largest and most advanced operator, processing more than 500,000 tonnes of waste annually. From coast to coast, we operate 13 sites to produce over 200,000 tonnes of finished compost and over 80,000 GJ of Renewable Natural Gas. This is the equivalent to taking 15,000 cars off the road or avoiding 28 million litres of gasoline being consumed. Your Mission:
As our Accounting Administrator, you will play a crucial role in our success! If you have a passion for numbers, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, this is the perfect opportunity for you. You'll be an integral part of our finance team, managing a variety of administrative and accounting tasks that drive our company's efficiency and growth. Your contributions will make a significant impact on our overall success.

Here’s what an ordinary day of work might look like:
  • You'll compile invoices for our valued customers, using scale data and their preferred billing schedules to ensure accuracy and promptness.
  • Take charge of maintaining accounts receivable collections, and ensuring timely follow-up with customers to maintain a healthy cash flow.
  • Administer the complete processing of accounts payable invoices in Lucom, maintaining the system and assisting with user management and approvals.
  • Reconcile key supplier accounts and company credit card statements, demonstrating your meticulous attention to detail.
  • Assist with month-end close procedures, including reconciling banking GL, posting journal entries, and managing accruals for unbilled customer invoices.
This job is for you if you:
  • Have 1-2 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Possess intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Understand general accounting principles.
  • Are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of company information and sensitive communications.
  • Have a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Excel at multi-tasking and prioritizing work.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Are highly organized and efficient.
  • Have a proven ability to meet deadlines.
