Operations Manager, Charter & Passenger Services

Voyago is hiring an Operations Manager, Charters and Passenger Services in our London, ON location

Your Role

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Transit Ontario, the Operations Manager, Charter and Passenger Services, will be responsible for the sustained and identified growth of the commercial passenger sector for Transdev Ontario. This individual would work closely with the business development and administrative departments of both enterprises.  Providing direction and development of strategies to promote and provide Transdev services to all clients seeking mobility solutions. 

This individual must be a goal motivated strategist capable of understanding the changing world of multi modal platforms and the potential to create partnerships with traditional and evolving client bases.  Working closely with the VP, this individual will develop strategic initiatives with defined outcomes and timelines.  This individual will be expected to participate with multiple agencies and groups that support the areas of hospitality, tourism, and special events.  Networking skills and understanding of business relations is a must.

Primary Responsibilities

Customer Relations

  • Management of a strategic bid pipeline with identified clients and goals
  • Create intentional plans to promote and market to each pipeline segment
  • Maintain a network of clients and provide ongoing support and surveys
  • Broker Relations and Support
  • Explore new products and services and enhance existing customer relationships

 

New Business Development & Strategic Planning

  • Construct marketing initiatives in concert with the Division Managers
  • Develop presentation materials for cold calls as well as proposals/quotations
  • Maintain and update RFP material and core competencies relevant to each division
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of a Business Plan including Marketing and Sales strategies for both long and short-term goals
  • Represent Voyago and Checker with potential and new customers in the community and in the industry
  • Identify trends by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements

 

Special Events and Promotions

  • Attend industry functions such as association events and conferences
  • Organize company representation, promotional material etc. at special events
  • Liaise with key contacts regarding opportunities for contra i.e. radio, charity etc.

 

Other

  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Have a solid working knowledge of both the Vehicle for Hire industry and the Commercial Passenger Service industry current on any relevant legislative changes affecting Transdev and Checker, including but not limited to City by-laws and MTO guidelines.

Requirements

Your Profile:

  • You have a University or College Degree or Equivalent in a Business related field
  • You bring 4+ years experience within within the commercial passenger service industry and/or tourism or hospitality centered industry, or similar business related area
  • You are familiar with multiple regions within the province of Ontario and the City of London
  • You posses a clean Drivers Abstract and minimum full G licence
  • You have a demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization
  • You bring a proven ability to drive outstanding customer service
  • You are self-motivated and have excellent time management skills
  • You posses professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • You hold a high degree of dependability and competency
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office
  • You posses a clean Criminal Record Search
