YOUR DAILY ROLE

 

  • identify opportunities for process standardization and improvement, waste reduction and problem solving to improve plant productivity
  • acts as a coach, trainer, facilitator and influencer for the plant's continuous improvement project teams
  • contribute to the implementation of a continuous improvement culture and the sharing of best practices within the organization. 

 

Specifically, you will: 

  • Advise, train and coach management and their team in continuous improvement, process evaluation, problem solving;
  • Implement the transformation plan in collaboration with the team involved;
  • Promote continuous improvement in order to initiate the organization's strategic shift;
  • Optimize processes and technologies and participate in the design of new work processes
  • Gather and analyze data and conduct a root cause analysis in order to properly target and understand the problem;
  • Define project mandates, communicate updates and provide required documentation;

You will report to the Plant Manager and join a team that provides a safe, enjoyable employee experience which fosters engaged and accountable team members who prioritize Customer Satisfaction through a commitment to delivering on time, and at the correct quantity, a safe, quality product.

You will bring the following to the business:

  • University degree or equivalent in industrial engineering or relevant experience.
  • Knowledge Lean principles (SMED, 5S, ADKAR) ;Lean Six Sigma yellow belt certification will be considered an asset;
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to engage people in a collaborative people driven environment
  • Excellent writing and communication skills that compels followers to take action, Bilingual is an asset
