Industrial Electrician

Ingredion is currently looking for a licensed Maintenance Electrician 309A/442A Red Seal. Assumes overall responsibility for performing maintenance functions, including equipment installation and repairs, new construction, service and preventative maintenance, equipment startup and testing, renovating and restoring, troubleshooting equipment, etc. 

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (on-call and overtime availability)

Salary: $41.56 per hour

As the Maintenance Electrician your responsibilities will include:

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facilities equipment and machinery utilizing electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, and hydraulic skill sets.
• Repairing/replacement of fixtures, agitators, pumps, motors, corn handling equipment, cleaning and recalibrating controls, and maintenance of additional systems and components as appropriate
• Observe, implement, and test the operation of mechanical/electrical devices using best practices for Plant safety and reliability needs
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
• Dismantle equipment and machinery in order to identify, remove, repair, or replace damaged or worn components and reassemble equipment when work is completed.
• Maintain all specifications and production information in the central database (SAP) by completing work orders on all tasks performed, noting the nature of maintenance, timelines to complete work, and components used
• Maintain the work area and physical environment in a neat, clean, and orderly condition (5S).
• Mentoring new employees on machinery and equipment start-up and best practices during the onboarding schedule.
• Perform any other duties as required

Qualified candidates will have:

• Journeyman Electrician – 309A / 442A ticket
• Qualified Instrumentation Technician an asset
• 2-5 years of experience in an industrial environment maintaining instrumentation, controls, and mechanical/electrical equipment
• Functional experience with Allen Bradley hardware and software is an asset
• Demonstrated troubleshooting capabilities
• Ability to work with and interpret data and drawings
• Ability to adapt to technological changes to the structure
• Ability to work under varying physical demands, including extreme posture, temperature, and height
• Ability to work 8-hour scheduled shifts in a continuous operation facility
• Ability to work overtime for work continuation needs or call-back requirements
• Good verbal and written communication skills
