Mechanical/Electrical Apprentice

London Hospital Linen Service (LHLS) is currently recruiting for 2 Full Time Mechanical/Electrical Apprentices to join our Maintenance team at our health care laundry facility.

Successful candidate’s primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe and proper maintenance and mechanical condition of equipment in the plant for production.

SHIFT:

These positions will be Monday to Friday and rotate every 2 weeks between Day and Afternoon shift.

Day Shift 6:30am – 3:00pm

Afternoon Shift 3:30pm-12:00am

Compensation

Hourly rate for this position is between $23.10 - $32.73 per hour.

There is also a $0.65/hour shift premium for afternoon shift

Includes a company paid health and welfare package as well as company contributions to a pension plan.

Successful candidates will have:

• Install, repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, machinery, and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Assist with all duties within the department.

Skills Required

· Mechanical aptitude

· Excellent troubleshooting ability.

· Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively.

· Strong team player and ability to work with minimal supervision.

· Electrical knowledge/experience.

· Computer skills/ Data entry

· Steam system knowledge/ understanding is an asset.

· Must comply with the safety policies of the Company.
