Material Handler

Position Summary

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure timely and accurate flow of materials throughout the Warehouse.  This is mainly achieved through powered equipment. 

Accountabilities

• Follows all applicable safety procedures and works to maintain a clean and organized work area         
• Loading, bracing and securing goods for shipment and/or final pack
• Verification of goods, completion of documentation and labeling
• Loading and Off-loading shipments via forklift for incoming and outgoing goods
• Transacting movement of material to maintain accurate inventory
• Put-away goods to ensure safe storage and maintaining records

Measures of Performance

• On-time Delivery – All components for project to be picked and packed 2 days prior to shipment per pack schedule
• Quality – Picking Accuracy – non-conformances reported through Service
• Safety – following all applicable safety policies with regards to crane and forklift operation and material handling

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Experienced Forklift Operator
• Organized, with attention to detail
