QA Lab Technician

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Understands, complies with and upholds the Company’s safety policies, procedures and initiatives with the goal of meeting or exceeding the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act for industrial establishments.

Understands, complies with and upholds the Plant’s quality policies, procedures and initiatives with the goal of meeting or exceeding the requirements of the ISO-9001:2015 Standard

Understands, complies with and upholds all the Plant’s policies, procedures and initiatives.

Ensures the competency of assigned resources, equipment and technologies, the effectiveness of best practices and the production of results in a safe proficient, timely, cost conscious manner.

Directs the purchased product and subcontracted services for receiving inspection and testing activities.

Performs the customer supplied product, in-process, final and shipping inspection functions.

Prepares final inspection reports and quality packages for customers and maintains inspection and testing records.

Performs inspection, measuring and test equipment calibration activities, tests and records.

Maintains and tracks quality status report during commissioning and Rest at Rate

Executes control of non-conforming product activities, advises and implements corrective actions.

Plans and schedules internal and external Quality Audits

Supports and participates in the Plant’s continual improvement and ISO programs.

Other specific responsibilities and duties as per the Quality Manual area procedures.

Maintains documented procedures and quality records for and ensures proper implementation and control of inspection and testing activities, measuring and test equipment, inspection and test status with appropriate indicators, control of non-confirming product, etc.

Recommends, develops and coordinates the implementation of corrective action, preventive action and continuous improvement projects as required.

Liaisons with other department personnel to provide prompt responses to customer inquiries.

Other responsibilities as required.

 

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.

Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Knowledge of CMM, Camera Gage, PLV, etc

Excellent computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office.

Superior organization and time management skills.
