Assistant Sanitation Supervisor

We have the privilege of partnering with many of North America's largest retailers. This position reports directly to Inovata Foods' Sanitation Supervisor/Manager.

Inovata Foods Corp. is looking for a full time Assistant Sanitation Supervisor to partner with us as we bring families and friends together through offering wholesome and convenient meals. The role is located in our Tillsonburg, Ontario facility. Inovata Foods Corp. is a major producer of wholesome control brand frozen meals for many of North America's largest retailers.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the sanitation team to meet the daily sanitation KPIs.
• Assist the Sanitation Supervisor in performing procedural and safety evaluations.
• Liaises with production and QA departments to ensure a seamless transition of the plant from one department to another.
• Actively participate, and from time to time facilitate daily Sanitation pre-shift meeting, including safety talks
• Work with Supervisor in setting the nightly schedule for the department.
• Manages the completion of the daily sanitation documentation.
• Completes immediate minor repairs to sanitation equipment not needing the attention of the Sani Marc technician.
• Provides vacation and absence coverage for the Sanitation Department when the Sanitation Supervisor is away.
• Ensures employees are trained and qualified in WHMIS and other programs prior to handling, storing and using chemicals and/or prior to the operation of equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Experience working in a product development position, restaurant or food science field.

Working Conditions:

Position may require varying start times and extended working hours with occasional weekends to facilitate customer presentations and attendance and production trials and first runs.
