Project Manager

 

The Project Manager reports directly to the Project Engineering Director.

Reporting to the Project Engineering Director this position will support the Project Engineering Director during the Design, Construction, CQV and start-up of the new Catalent Zydis facility at 687 Adair Boulevard, Strathroy, Ontario.

 

The Role

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for all project engineering activities and for the development of a detailed Project Schedule integrating all discipline activities

  • Monitors and co-ordinates detailed specifications/designs for the fabrication/ purchase of all plant and process equipment across engineering disciplines

  • Ensures that design complies with relevant Catalent Design Guides and local engineering practices.

  • Ensures all design reviews are carried out in accordance with Catalent guidelines

  • In co-operation with Catalent Project Controls and the Construction Manager ensures the preparation of initial and ongoing estimates of the project costs.

  • In co-operation with Catalent Project Controls and the Construction Manager monitors cost expenditure against estimates and report cost position to Project Engineering Director on a regular basis.

  • In cooperation with Catalent Project Controls prepares the Daptiv update for review by the Project Engineering Director.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

The Candidate

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

  • P Eng. desirable or working towards P.Eng. accreditation.

  • Demonstrated experience working with Building Information Modelling (BIM)

  • Demonstrated experience with Primavera and/or Microsoft project

 

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience working with Building Information Modelling (BIM)

  • Experience within the last 5 years working on a major pharmaceutical capital project on the owner’s side

  • Demonstrated experience with Primavera and/or Microsoft project

  • Experience managing change controls and design documentation updates in a GMP environment preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

 

Working Conditions

Position located in Strathroy, Ontario.

Regular working hours: Monday-Friday 8 AM-5 PM

 

Travel: 15% International
