Production Shift Supervisor - Midnight Shift

Shift supervisor - Midnights - (Tillsonburg)
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Shift Supervisor oversees and participates in the day-to-day operations of the facility. This role supervises, supports and trains plant team members in the areas of production, maintenance, health and safety, and quality control. The Shift Supervisor coordinates daily production requirements based on the production plan set by the Plant Manager or designate.
12 hour shifts - must be able to work rotation including weekends.
Principle accountabilities:
- Coordinates daily production activities with team members to provide superior customer service.
- Completes daily production reports correctly and completely.
- Ensures equipment is working efficiently and product meets required quality standards.
- Complies with and follows Company Health and Safety policies, procedures, practices and legislative standards.
- Provides training, coaching and development for production team members in areas of production, job function, health and safety and record keeping.
- Reports any equipment issues and shop material requirements to Plant Manager, in a timely manner.
- Advise and report on necessary improvements and modification of equipment and machinery to correct inconsistencies and errors.
Skills and experience:
- 3 – 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing setting.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing operations in the HDPE field, preferred.
- Grade 12 diploma or GED, post-secondary education in a related trade is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to supervise and motivate team members in a production environment.
