Senior Collections Analyst / AR

 

The Senior Collections Analyst will manage accounts receivable and collections processes for the Pall Water Americas region & act as the liaison between Pall Corporation Shared Service Collections for all regions of the Pall Water business, including the Americas, Europe, and Asia.  

 

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Manage the accounts receivable (AR) and collection processes for the Pall Water Americas region.

  • Manage accounts receivable and bad debt reporting globally for Pall Water, all regions.

  • Ensure proper invoicing within standard policies reflective of the customer requirements.

  • Maintain Standard Work documents and act as a key liaison between finance, sales & service, project management, and outside customers.  Resolve customer payment obstacles and reduce accounts receivable delinquency.

  • Process credit card transactions and local check processing.

  • Manage bad debt risk across Pall Water's global business and involve the team to mitigate risk.

  • Conduct credit checks on all customers; establish and manage limits.

  • Monitor and report deviations from credit standards.

  • Negotiate with clients in non-payment cases.

  • Own creating and preparing monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc forecasting reporting and processes with a high level of accuracy.

  • Partner with global collections analysts on EMEA and Asia regions to ensure collectability and accuracy of Pall Water projects.

  • Manage coordination with a shared service organization for cash application making sure all cash receipts are applied properly.

  • Drive team efficiency and improvements, including DSO (Working Capital) improvements.

  • Act as key liaison on AR issues for internal customers, auditors & outside customers.

  • Ownership of Pall Water cash reporting and progress meetings with Pall Corporate

  • Assist others in Finance as required (e.g. Tax, Financial Reporting, etc.)

  • Embrace and utilize a culture with regular kaizen activities leveraging daily management and continuous process improvement to achieve sustainable competitive advantage.

  • Solves problems, evaluating systems and or processes to determine root cause and implement corrective actions as required, engaging subject matter experts as needed

  • Continuously improve our execution plans for projects, drive improvements thru Danaher Business System tools.

  • Travel requirement of 2 weeks per quarter to Cortland, NY office.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree in Accounting or Finance and 3-5 years of corporate collections experience required.  A Bachelor’s degree preferred.

 

Experience must include:

  • Interaction with a large customer base

  • Experience with project/progress billing

  • Purchase Orders and Customer Payment Portals

  • ERP systems, preferably SAP

  • Financial data analysis

  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS-Office products, including Excel (pivot table, vlook-up, and other complex data tools), Word and E-mail.

  • Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reports

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Use excellent organizational and documentation skills.

  • Ability to quickly multitask and prioritize

  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems by involving project team members and driving to conclusion

  • Ability to work in an office or remote environment

  • Ability to meet the travel requirements of the position as required.
