Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and engaged individual with previous maintenance experience to join the Shamir team as a Maintenance Technician.
Rotating shifts every 2 weeks
The successful candidate must be able to work rotating shifts on a 2-week rotational basis, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM and Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 Midnight.

Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for regular maintenance and trouble shooting of all equipment, in addition to assisting with larger projects such as new equipment installations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Contributes to the success of Shamir by maintaining and repairing lab equipment.
- Repair mechanical components and replace parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges, switches, fixing door handles, minor leaks etc.
- Report defects/damages.
- Clean sensitive equipment in the production area.
- Follows all safety rules and observes the operations to insure a safe work environment.
- Demonstrates excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to resolve equipment breakdowns and implement performance improvements.
- Supports quality investigations.
- Maintains awareness and expertise in lab equipment design, optimization, and maintenance.
- Assist the production manager to install, align and dismantle stationary industrial machinery.
- Follow preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Perform routine preventive/predicative maintenance checks on all lab equipment and facility.
- Maintaining logs and records of work performed as well as materials and equipment used.
Education:
- Degree/Diploma in applicable technical field.
Experience:
- 3-5 years working in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic electronic/electric skills.
Communication:
- Excellent effective written and verbal communication skills (English)
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift, push and pull objects up to 50 pounds.
Mental Demands:
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Working Conditions:
- Very clean and tidy lab/manufacturing establishment.
- Climate controlled environment.
