Electrician

Job Specifications

• Plan and deliver, in conjunction with the Maintenance Team Leaders, electrical/mechanical installations and modifications
• Support maintenance department by performing the maintenance of plant equipment, resolving breakdowns, planned maintenance programs, and the modification of equipment to improve production
• Provide guidance for essential parts to be kept in inventory and advise when required parts are not available using the spare part discrepancy form
• Skilled knowledge of electrical busways, substations, and installations of new and existing equipment
• Complete paperwork for all parts and material taken out of company inventory for use on breakdown orders and report executed assignments into the SAP system
• Document and communicate all checks, work orders, and downtime
• Apply basic knowledge of Siemens PLC and SAP to look for spare parts and enter hours of work considered an asset
• Adhere to all Company policies and procedures with respect to safety, quality, and environmental requirements

Job Qualifications

• Certificate of Qualification as a Licensed Electrician in good standing
• Must have a minimum 3 years of electrical experience, preferably in automotive manufacturing
• ABB Robotics as well as laser welding experience is beneficial
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and PLC experience an asset
• Basic knowledge of PC and network configuration, including Profi bus knowledge
• Additional trade or tickets would be an asset (Millwright, Tool & Die, Controls Technology)
• Ability to work varied shifts (days, afternoons, midnights, weekends and/or continental shifts)
