Stationary Engineer 4th Class – Competition No. 25-47

Reporting to the Manager of Fleet, Facility & Administration, the 4th Class Stationary Engineer will be responsible for fulfilling the following duties and possess the requirements for the role. 

General Duties:

• Inspects/maintains boiler system, heating and air conditioning systems, maintains major garage equipment such as hoists, fuel dispensers, brush wash washes, roof top HVAC, and undertakes minor repairs as required
• Daily inspection and maintenance of plant facilities and equipment
• General building maintenance including repairs to doors, walls, ceilings, furniture, washrooms etc.
• Basic preventative maintenance to specified plant equipment
• Coordinates with outside contractors on projects as required
• Complete all other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Valid 4th Class Stationary Engineer Certificate or a Compressor Operator Certificate
• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License in good standing
• Minimum of 1-year experience in building maintenance including natural gas
• Familiarity with health and safety practices
• Effective organizational and communication skills
