Position Overview- 

Management of assigned credit portfolio(s) establishing credit lines for U.S. and European accounts, ongoing portfolio monitoring, adjusting credit lines/risk codes as appropriate, credit risk reporting, vendor validation management, and managing credit for assigned vendors.

 

Key Responsibilities- 

  • Establish credit limits/assign risk ratings/codes for new/existing US, Canadian, & European customers up to 1M USD and perform ongoing monitoring including participation in credit share groups, when applicable. Manage credit risk for distressed accounts and provide quarterly credit risk updates to management. Perform risk analysis for advances over 100K USD. Back up Credit Risk Manager as needed including supplier evaluations and customer master workflow request approvals. Primary for customer/vendor in person visits or virtual meetings.
  • For assigned portfolio, review blocked order release for Canada, EMEA and NA in accordance with the established approval levels. For orders exceeding the credit line, approval level of 1M USD for medium to low risk and 500K USD for all others. Back-up CRM's, when needed.
  • Manage cash acceleration tools such as C2FO/supplier financing and DSO forecasting/analysis for US & Canada.
  • Lead trainer for OTC credit Team and provide guidance to Credit Risk Managers as needed. Update process documentation, as needed. Lead or co-lead for credit related projects.
  • Manage vendor master approval process including supervision of the vendor master validator.

 

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Accounting/Finance/Business required
  • Certified International Credit Professional (CICP) preferred. A NACM designation is preferred
  • 7+ years financial analysis experience required. Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel and basic proficiency of Power Pt & Word req. Excellent analytical, communication and organization skills required. Excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of different financial and analytical techniques and the capability to plan own work and respect deadlines. Sound understanding of concepts and principals in own technical area and basic knowledge of these elements in other areas. In depth knowledge how the team integrates within the sub-function and basic commercial awareness. Demonstrated ability to analyze financial statements. Knowledge of assigned NA/EMEA Consumer Products, Food Service, Industrial industries, assigned outreach units and international credit management experience preferred
  • Leads or co-leads large complex projects and supports finance initiatives with the business functions. Proposes and implements process improvements to systems, methods of work and analysis and contributes to ensuring that they are continuously adapted to the business requirements. Provide formal updates to the Corporate Controller, Treasury, and US, Canadian and European business units. Represents the company in credit group meetings and associations for the US & Canada. Keep business units and other credit professionals updated on process issues, pertinent customer/industry information and escalated customer issues
  • Develop and implement process improvements. Supervise global vendor master validation analyst
