Programmer
Job Overview
The CAM – NC Programmer is responsible for working with CAD/CAM nesting software. The CAM/NC Programmer will use SolidWorks and AutoCAD drawings to accurately generate NC Codes in a timely manner. The CAM/NC Programmer will generate efficient part layouts, nesting sheets, material requirements, bill of materials and process sheets as required.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Accurately review drawings quickly and efficiently.
· Collect and process information from drawings, Customers, the Production Team and Management to develop: NC Code, Material Requirements and Nesting Sheets; all of which must be complete, accurate and reliable for efficient Laser cutting and downstream processes.
· Communicate with the Production Team to assist in accurate determination of labor hours, production concerns, lead times and ensure our ability to satisfy our customer’s expectations.
· Generate time studies and estimates for processes and material which are complete and accurate.
Qualifications
· Degree or Diploma in Manufacturing, Engineering, CAD, CAM, AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, SolidEdge or similar drafting software.
· Three to Five years of CAD/CAM/NC experience in a manufacturing setting preferred. Experience with Trumpf fabricating equipment (lasers, punches and brakes, TOP CAM system) is preferred.
· Solid comprehension of technical drawings.
· Ability to prioritize and mange conflicting demands.
· Problem Solving and planning ability required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour
