Afternoon Shift Manual Mill Operator

We are currently looking for a team-oriented full-time Manual Mill Operator to join our afternoon shift located in London Ontario.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Manual Mill Operator sets parts up and operates manual vertical mills according to instructions and shop drawings.

The Responsibilities for the position will include:

  • Read blueprints and/or sketches of part to determine the machining sequence to be completed in a timely manner, dimensional specifications, set up and operating requirements;
  • Review specifications to determine set up procedure, machining sequence and dimensions of finished product;
  • Ability to use measuring tools to confirm accurate machining
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as required

Education, Skills, and Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing process considered an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Proficient knowledge and ability to read shop drawings.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Experience with manufacturing precision-machined components and related processes including heat treatment, assembly and testing activities.
