Arvin Sango Canada Inc. (ASCI) is Tier 1 automotive components manufacturer, specializing in vehicle exhaust systems and welded structural components. We have received several supplier awards related to both Quality Performance and new product Launch Performance. Are you interested in joining this award-winning team?

Due to the incoming implementation of new lines and expansion of our workforce, we have an opportunity for a talented and motivated Production Team Leader.

Summary

The Team Leader, under the direction of the Production Supervisor, oversees daily requirement of the line or department they are assigned to. Duties include but are not limited to; troubleshooting problems related to downtime, scrap, quality and Team Member problems. They assist in providing direction to Team Members and is responsible for their performance. When needed, the Team Leader must perform same work on the line as Team Members.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Trains, communicates and ensures Team Members understand and practice Standard Work procedures.
  • Direct the daily activities of the Team Members by assignment duties and filling in when necessary.
  • Plans work to be performed and keeps track of the daily performance data.
  • Communicates lineside issues.
  • Work with and provides feedback to the Production Supervisor.
  • Assist in establishing work priorities in conjunction with the Production Supervisor.
  • Receive assignment from the Production Supervisor and then assigns and trains members in safe and correct work procedures and performance required.
  • Assist and support Team Members with problem solving, countermeasure development and continuous improvement.
  • Inspects, coordinates and records work performance of Team Members.
  • Points out ways to reduce costs and support Kaizen activity.
  • Refers problems involving Team Member performance to Production Supervisor for handling.
  • Identify areas that need improvements and suggest changes to Production Supervisor.
  • Promote an atmosphere of teamwork and motivation in the workplace.
  • Provide continuous coaching to ensure Team Member success.
  • Ensure Team Members receive training prior to completing work tasks.
  • Build team commitment to high standards of service, exceeding expectations and leading by example.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • 1 – 2 years experience in manufacturing.
  • Ability to direct employees, act as a role model for Production Team Members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as a team.
  • Ability to deal with multiple demands simultaneously.
  • Ability to train employees.
  • Proven ability to plan, set and achieve goals.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to analyze standard work and suggest improvement ideas.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must pass a satisfactory criminal background check.

  • High School Diploma
