The Opportunity:
As a member of the FSQA team, the FSQA Compliance Coordinator is accountable for the execution of the HACCP system, Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs. The FSQA Compliance Coordinator is a key member of the facility management teams and is responsible for driving continuous improvement in a faced paced and demanding environment. Additionally, the FSQA Compliance Coordinator will establish and maintain positive relationships with regulatory bodies.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
- Maintain and execute quality and food safety processes (SOPS)
- Execute various initiatives to improve the quality and safety of our process and products based on facts and data.
- Ensure that critical food safety and quality data is tracked and trended for process understanding and continuous improvement purposes
- Execute Hold and Release Program in SAP
- Provides technical (HACCP system and Food Safety) guidance to production staff
- Assist and accompany CFIA inspectors during performance of their tasks
- Assist with investigation of complaints, develop and submit responses for customer complaints and consumer.
- Assist with Non-Compliance Reports (Deviations) and in-house disposition of materials placed On Hold including completing Risk Assessments to determine product disposition.
- Assist with maintaining and updating current HACCP system and business unit Food Safety and Quality programs and/or SOPs
- Assisting with follow up and issue any corrective actions, if necessary, based on deviations found in plant process or resulting from customer complaints or audits
- Participates in Food Safety meetings and audits
- Assists with internal audits to comply with pre-requisites bullets, HACCP plans and customer requirements.
- Verification of the monitors and paperwork
- Ability to effectively train, coach and motivate employees
- Developing a constructive and positive work environment through excellent interpersonal, team building skills, open communications, encouraging input and constructive performance management
- Assist with Animal Welfare compliance
- Actively participate in facility leadership meetings.
- Other responsibilities as required.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor of Science or Diploma in Food Safety/Science program or equivalent experience
- Understanding of Sanitation, HACCP, CCP’s and GMP’s
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- 1-5 years’ experience in the Food industry preferred
- Ability to work effectively on a cross functional leadership team.
- Experience thriving in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment.
