About Us

Equals Brewing Company was founded in 2018 and has quickly grown into a trusted producer of beers, ciders, ready-to-drink, and non-alcoholic products for some of Ontario’s and Canada’s leading beverage brands.

We’re the creators of Bangarang Hard Seltzer and Shake Lager, a gold medal winner at the Canadian Brewing Awards. More recently, we added Side Launch Brewing Company to our portfolio, an established Ontario craft brewery known for its award-winning beers and strong community presence.

At Equals, we believe our success is driven by our people. We’re a small, fast-moving team that values ownership, collaboration, and problem-solving. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for people who are ready to take initiative and help strengthen the systems that support our expanding operations.

What You’ll Do

The Production Planner plays a critical role in managing short-term production planning, making in-week schedule changes, and optimizing liquid SKUs efficiently. It requires monitoring daily packaging and brewing processes, identifying critical materials and services required, and developing strategies to support operational success.

The role is focused on day-to-day planning, maintaining and improving business relationships with suppliers, customer communication regarding production plans, and supporting the entire operations teams as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for weekly production planning for the brewhouse, cellars, and packaging departments
  • Make in-week schedule adjustments for efficiency or based on material/production delays
  • Communicate with customers regarding the production schedule, required SKU splits, and planning of packaging materials
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues, capacity constraints, or shortages
  • Forecast production needs up to +4 weeks and make necessary schedule adjustments
  • Identify and drive improvement initiatives through problem identification and resolution
  • Proactively address and anticipate internal customer requirements, expectations, and needs
  • Make alternate arrangements in the event of shortages or delayed deliveries to minimize impact
  • Analyze data and procedures to identify areas for improvement
  • Take immediate and independent action to resolve issues as they arise
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Economics, Project Management, or Supply Chain Management
  • 2-3 years of production planning/procurement experience, preferably in the food and beverage industry (brewing, dairy, beverage manufacturing, etc.)
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to achieving goals
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage changing priorities under tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Efficient time management and organizational skills
  • High productivity and results-driven mindset
  • Familiarity with GSuite, including Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Gmail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

What to Expect

  • Work in both an office and production floor environment
  • Long hours may be required during peak seasons
  • Ability to lift items up to 25 kg
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing production schedules in a fast-paced environment

Why Join Us?
