Reporting to the Sr Manager of Application Science, the Process Engineer will perform research (biology, chemistry, mechanical, software, etc.) to generate analytical data for internal and external clients. This role is responsible for the investigation of new technologies and experimentation directed at the practical application of scientific theories. Also, assures that programs meet scientific objectives and are aligned with customer needs.
This position is part of the Application Science Team located in London, ON (Canada) and will be Onsite.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
Be the on-site technical lead for piloting and field testing of treatment systems including sampling, recording, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Specify and evaluate system design to meet the performance and treatment requirements for specific water and site conditions.
Prepare test protocols, data analysis, and reports.
Consult with the Research and Development team during the creation and optimization of new and existing treatment systems and product lines.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Degree in Engineering, Applied Science Technology, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
Expertise in water treatment processes, including UPW system design/operation.
Knowledge of membrane filtration, reverse osmosis, UV, ion exchange, EDI, and gas transfer membranes.
Travel: 20% (customer site visits).
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Working with ultrapure water systems in the microelectronics industry.
Professional Engineer’s License, or the ability to obtain one.
Clear, concise communication and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and hands-on skills.
Ability to work independently and within a development team.
