WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Category Management Associate supports the Category Management & Integrated Marketing team in the execution of product and category strategies and day-to-day management of our category portfolio.

Working under the direction of the Sr. Category Manager, this role helps coordinate cross-functional activities, conduct research and analysis, and contribute to the successful development, launch, and lifecycle management of products. This is an ideal role for an individual looking to build foundational experience in product/category management within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the team in executing product plans, including tracking project milestones, preparing presentations, and coordinating cross-functional deliverables.
  • Assist with product lifecycle activities such as new SKU setup and maintenance, cost and pricing updates, discontinuations, and documentation management.
  • Conduct market and competitive research to inform product decisions and develop business cases.
  • Help prepare product performance reports, dashboards, and KPI tracking, leveraging sales, margin, and inventory data.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, compliance, and sourcing teams on technical product projects as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of sales and marketing tools, including product training materials, presentations, and packaging content.
  • Assist with new product launch activities, ensuring executional details are aligned across Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Maintain product databases, price lists, and digital content repositories to ensure accurate and up-to-date product information.
  • Support cross-functional meetings

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Enrollment in or completion of a product management certification is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel internationally
  • Ability to work from our St. Thomas, Ontario based office 3 days a week
  • 1–3 years of experience in product, category, or marketing support roles, preferably in building materials, consumer durables, or a related industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Basic understanding of product management or marketing principles.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and business reporting tools (Power BI is an asset).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and approach, proactively identifying opportunities, taking ownership, and driving innovative solutions that create business value.

Hiring Range: $59,000.00 - $92,620.00 CAD. The salary range shown reflects the expected annual base salary for this open position, plus other wage amounts such as annual bonus, profit sharing, and commissions. Actual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
