The General Operations PMO is a high-impact role reporting directly to the COO as well as to the project lead of a large-scale battery manufacturing facility. This individual will play a pivotal role in managing a diverse portfolio of projects across operations, supporting cross-departmental collaboration, and driving organizational excellence. Acting as an extension of the COO's office, the General Operations PMO will ensure strategic initiatives are effectively executed, providing critical oversight and coordination across multiple departments and global teams.

 

This role is ideal for a highly organized and dynamic professional with a strong background in project management, operational strategy, and cross-functional coordination within global business environments.

 

This exciting opportunity is based in the charming town of St. Thomas, Ontario, and requires in-person attendance. 
 

  
 
How you will CELLebrate
  • Lead a wide range of strategic projects as assigned by the COO and by the project lead, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, focusing on the governance areas as well as on the coordination of different tasks on site.
  • Develop detailed project plans, set priorities, and manage resources to deliver projects on time and within scope.
  • Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and methodologies, identifying risks and ensuring corrective actions.
  • Partner with operational leaders to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
  • Collaborate with the COO and with the project lead to design and implement operational strategies that drive productivity and cost-effectiveness.
  • Support operational planning and resource allocation to meet both short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with department heads to track progress, address challenges, and provide updates to the COO and to the project lead
  • Ensure synchronization of departmental activities with overarching corporate strategies.
  • Coordinate with international teams to align global initiatives with local operations.
  • Support the integration of global best practices into local operations, ensuring compliance with corporate standards.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and project milestones.
  • Provide comprehensive and insightful updates to the COO and project lead, executive leadership, and stakeholders on project status and outcomes.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization and external partners.
  • Anticipate and manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring alignment and satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize processes, enhance collaboration, and drive innovation across departments.
  • Drive special projects that require cross-functional expertise and leadership.
  
 
What you need for our CELLebration
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, operations, or a similar role within a global organization.
  • Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects with measurable outcomes.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, or related fields is highly desirable.

  • Advanced proficiency in project management tools
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, adept at navigating complex organizational structures.
  • Highly adaptable and capable of working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment, with a focus on international relocation or expatriate management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
  • Fluency in German or Mandarin is an asset.
