Accountabilities
- Carry out assignments of substantial variety and/or complexity requiring a sound understanding of related engineering or scientific theory, principles and practices
- Write process specifications, test protocols and test
- Acts as a technical resource to other departments
- Build rapid prototypes of product jigs and fixture concepts to validate new processes
- Produce professional design drawings / documentation
- Participate in testing verification
- Formulate concept improvements based on test results
- Participate in process reviews to offer ideas and recommendations
- Implement final design through the organization, working with other functional areas
Qualifications
- Post-secondary enrolment in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering program
- Ability to work both independently and as a productive member of a development/sustainment team
- Creativity, problem solving and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in using SolidWorks CAD software and strong computer skills is an asset
- Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
- Hands on skills like soldering and using basic hand tools
